HeadStart Summer School
2 months of private schooling
for students going into grades SK, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

		get an educational advantage over other students;   provide a private school education without a full year tuition   huge benefit from an academic head start to the coming new school year;   eliminate planning camps/activities/daycare for the summer months   provides need structure and eliminates getting bored and just not knowing what to do with themselves;   learning better in a teacher directed small class learning environment;   skills staying strong and getting rusty over the summer   never again needing the month of September to get back into the routines of learning in a new school year;   a huge advantage to children with birthdays later in the year and who are younger than many children in their class;   making that difficult jump to grade 4, or to grade 7 in senior public easy and effortless,   making that move from grade 8 year to grade 9 much easier   facing the challenges of credits at the high school Academic or Applied levels;   needing a little extra help with Reading, Writing, Spelling, Phonics, and/or Arithmetic and Mathematics;   getting a good dose of academic self confidence
		HeadStart School is located at 888 Trillium Drive Kitchener. According to available places, HeadStart students will be integrated into the regular classes at Scholars' Hall private school . (Students at Scholars' Hall have the option to attend school 10 or 12 months a year). Uniforms are not required in the summer months.

2011 HeadStart tuition for the summer (July 4 to August 26) is $2,000

             - discounted by $200 if registered and paid by May 15
          - discounted by $100 if registered and paid by June 15
            tuition is non-refundable as of registration

          *students wanting partial attendance (July 4 to July 29) or (August 1 to August 26) will be placed
          on a waiting list until June 30 and will be attend if places are available. Tuition for partial
          attendance is $1,200

              - discounted by $100 if registered and paid by May 15
           - discounted by $50 if registered and paid by June 15
             tuition is non-refundable as of registration. If notified by June 30 that no seats are available, total tuition will be immediately refunded  
 
Our instructional day is 9 am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday. Students will receive Ontario curriculum instruction appropriate to or greater than grade level just completed.  Homework will be given daily. Test will be given weekly. Report cards will be issued July 27 and August 24 with teacher interviews scheduled on the evenings of July 28 and August 25.

Students not presently achieving at their grade level will be placed in skill groupings appropriate to their present academic performance level.
