St. Jude's Tutoring School - Registration Form

August HeadStart School Registration

Please fill in the following form online and submit it to us through the Internet, or, if you prefer, print out a copy of this page and send to us through the postal system. Our mailing address can be found at the bottom of this page. For your reference, Tutoring School fees are available online here.

The main purpose of HeadStart School is to give each student the best academic head start for their new school year. We want them to start the new school year with remembered knowledge, fresh skills and a whole lot of confidence.

Our school day begins at 8:30 am and finishes at 3:30 pm. The day will be made up of a morning and afternoon break and one hour for lunch (11:30 to 12:30). Students will need a lunch, pens/pencils and paper. At the beginning and the end of HeadStart School the students will be assessed in the areas of Arithmetic, Problem Solving, Oral Reading and Reading Comprehension. All students will be given daily homework according to their grade i.e. 5 minutes of homework for each grade - grade 5 = 25 minutes. Each student will receive a report card at the end of HeadStart.

If paying by instalments, consecutive, post-dated cheques for the 1st of each month equalling the balance of the tuition must be included with this registration. Method of payment has no bearing on the term and/or the total amount of the tuition owed. If your child should withdraw from the ExtraHelp, HomeWork, EnRichment, Spanish, or French Club, before the registered ending date, the tuition will be adjusted to the time enrolled as indicated in the fee schedule. Tuition for HeadStart is non-refundable upon registration.

In our Waterloo location (420 Weber St. N) we have only 36 spots - 12 for Primary; 12 for Junior and 12 for Intermediate students. These spots are quickly taken. Please register early.

Once the Waterloo spots are filled, any students from Waterloo will be invited to attend HeadStart at our Kitchener location (888 Trillium Drive). Our Kitchener location is a 30,000 sq ft facility and can accommodate many more students.

When registering, please identify which location you prefer. Your registration will be confirmed by email.

At the end of June, you will receive a letter with additional details and what each student needs to bring.
