2. Learning Assessment
Prior to admission it is extremely beneficial for your child to receive a full and comprehensive psycho-educational assessment completed either by St. Jude’s or by an independent, specialized child psychologist. The assessment will identify a child’s educational strengths and learning needs, which are then used to help form an Individualized Education Program (IEP), which is discussed below.
Do you already have a psycho-educational assessment completed, but are unsure of the next step? We are pleased to offer a free, 2-hour consultation to discuss what your child’s IEP would look like in practice at St. Jude’s or how you can advocate for your child’s specific needs in a mainstream school setting. 3. Individualized Education Program
A full and comprehensive psycho-educational assessment (discussed above) is extremely beneficial and used to inform your child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) at St. Jude’s. IEPs ensure that each student’s education experience is tailored to their unique needs based on their strengths and learning needs.
